About Us
Castleross Construction is a civil contractor specialising in complex infrastructure projects across Australia. We deliver high-quality FRP and precast concrete works and are known for our hands-on approach and strong site delivery. We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts Administrator to join our Finance team.
About the Role
In this role, you'll support payroll and accounts functions across multiple projects — helping to ensure our people are paid accurately and our accounts run smoothly. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong organisational skills, accuracy, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced construction environment.
What You'll Do
Payroll Administration
- Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees.
- Reconcile payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and ensure approvals are complete.
- Calculate employee entitlements such as overtime, leave, and deductions.
- Lodge Single Touch Payroll (STP) and manage superannuation and payroll tax submissions.
- Maintain accurate payroll and leave records, and respond to employee payroll queries.
Accounts Support
- Enter supplier invoices and subcontractor claims into accounting software.
- Prepare purchase orders and assist with reconciliations.
- Process employee reimbursements and assist with internal financial reporting.
- Support month-end processes, ATO lodgements, and compliance documentation.
Administrative Support
- Manage shared inboxes and assist with data entry and document filing.
- Provide general administrative support to the Finance and Site teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in payroll or accounts administration is ideal but not essential.
- Basic accounting knowledge or relevant study highly regarded.
- Familiarity with payroll and compliance legislation (training provided).
- Previous experience using XERO (accounts) and FoundU (payroll) is preferred.
