The Futures Group is currently seeking a Government Recruitment Consultant / Scribe to work with our range of state and local government clients, on a variety of recruitment projects.

What's Involved?

Our clients within the public sector follow rigorous and formal recruitment processes, ensuring equity and fairness throughout. Our consultants assist this process by providing the following services:

· Meeting with the client to understand the complexities of the role

· Shortlisting against the selection criteria

· Scheduling interviews and liaising with the panel regarding availability

· Preparation of interview questions

· Scribing/note-taking during interviews

· Contributing to the overall decision as an independent Panel Member

· Compiling a selection report

· Completing references

· Providing candidate feedback

Our consultants enjoy a flexible working arrangement, including working both on-site for client meetings and interviews, video conferencing options (eg Teams) and working from home. You will be able to accept assignments according to your availability.

Hours are not fixed however, and there is no guarantee of minimum hours each week. There is the opportunity to build your client base, particularly if you have strong business development skills.

Full training and support will be provided.

Requirements:

  • Human Resources degree, or a relevant equivalent tertiary qualification
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Very high level written communication
  • Extensive recruitment experience up to Executive level (government experience preferred)
  • Excellent organisational skills, as you will be working autonomously
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Teams, Outlook and HRIS / databases
  • Report / business writing experience is advantageous
