, our objective is enhancing the lifestyles of our people, customers, investors, and other stakeholders by delivering our projects with an ethical, sustainable, and long term focus. We're currently seeking a skilled Leading Hand to join our construction team on a 2-stage mixed use multi-residential apartment project based in Redcliffe to a value of $120m.

The Opportunity
As a
Leading Hand
at GVG, you'll be at the heart of our construction operations, ensuring quality workmanship while maintaining the highest safety standards. This hands-on role offers the chance to showcase your carpentry skills while developing your leadership capabilities in a supportive team environment.

Your Impact
Working directly with our Site Foreman and Site Manager, you'll:-

  • Execute a variety of hands-on labouring and carpentry works
  • Coordinate with team members to maintain project momentum and quality standards
  • Conduct weekly HOMESAFE inspections to ensure site safety compliance
  • Organise and oversee works, ensuring clear communication
  • Task and coordinate labourers to ensure smooth operations
  • Contribute to defect rectification and management processes

What You'll Bring

  • Trade qualification as a carpenter with proven construction experience
  • Strong skills in labouring, carpentry, and equipment operation
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail
  • Outstanding teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to undertake additional training
