Fraser Coast MHS is a specialist provider offering Psychosocial Capacity Building and Recovery Coaching Supports to NDIS participants living with a diagnosed mental illness. We are a small, supportive team that values the individual and understands that psychosocial recovery is a journey—not a destination.

With extensive experience across community and recovery programs throughout Australia and overseas, our team is passionate about empowering participants to build capacity and live the life they choose. We're growing, and we're looking for motivated and compassionate NDIS Support Workers to join us.

About the Role

As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will deliver person-centred, recovery-focused support to individuals with psychosocial disability. You'll help participants develop daily living skills, increase independence, build social connection, and work towards their personal goals.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing 1:1 support in line with participant NDIS plans
  • Supporting daily living, community participation & skill development
  • Building positive, trusting relationships with participants
  • Monitoring wellbeing and responding appropriately to mental health needs
  • Maintaining accurate notes and documentation
  • Working collaboratively with families, carers, and allied health professionals

About You
  • Experience working with people with mental health conditions or psychosocial disability
  • Empathetic, patient, and passionate about supporting recovery
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
  • Understanding of NDIS, recovery-oriented practice, and participant-led support
  • A positive attitude and a commitment to helping people thrive

Requirements
  • Minimum or Cert IV in Mental Health, Peer Work, Community Services (or equivalent experience)
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Current driver's licence & reliable vehicle
  • Working With Children Check (if required)
