We are looking for a new addition to our awesome team here at Nextra Morayfield We're seeking a vibrant, friendly, energetic, motivated, and customer-focused individual to join our busy team, working across two stores.

This is a casual position with hours available during afternoons and on weekends. Additional hours may be available during school holidays and to cover staff leave.

No previous retail experience is required. Retail, customer service, and Golden Casket training will be provided.

Position Overview: As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and promoting our range of products, including lotto tickets. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases.
  • Operating the point-of-sale system for a variety of services, products, and lottery ticket sales.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
  • Stocking shelves and merchandising stock.
  • Providing information on lottery games, prizes, and promotions.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualities and qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and counting cash.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays after school and weekends.
  • Self-motivation to work independently and proactively.
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential.

AFTER SCHOOL AND WEEKEND AVAILABLITY IS ESSENTIAL

Benefits:

  • Ongoing casual position.
  • Up to five shifts per week (depending on operational requirements) on a varying roster, Monday through Sunday.
  • On-the-job training provided.
