About the Position

This position works as part of a team that undertakes maintenance and repair works on the City's road, footpath and drainage assets. Some of the maintenance and repair duties include, but are not limited to; road repairs, pothole patching, pavement reinstatement, footpath repairs, street and parking sign installations, and stormwater drainage. This role requires the operation of minor and specialist hand tools, equipment and other plant, in a safe and efficient manner.

To be successful in this position you will need to demonstrate:

• Possession of a Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White Card)
• Possession of a Basic Traffic Management Certificate
• Current 'C' Class Driver's Licence
• A current National Police Clearance
• Sound knowledge of safe work practices
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Experience using road maintenance and construction equipment, hand tools and minor plant equipment is desirable
• Experience undertaking labouring duties for civil projects and maintenance tasks is desirable.
