Your Role:

As a Rescue Paramedic, you'll be at the forefront of emergency response, providing high-quality medical treatment as part of our emergency rescue team providing rescue support for the client.

The intent of this position is to deliver high standard medical treatment and to execute clinical functions to assess, treat, triage and where required evacuate patients from site to the most appropriate medical facility in accordance with state legislative requirement and in consultation with required parties as identified by the Client.

Location: Emerald, Central QLD

Roster: 7/7

Employment Type: 4 X Full Time Positions Available

 Travel Type:FIFO (Brisbane to Emerald return) or DIDO for locals

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-hospital care, ensuring the highest standards of patient treatment.
  • Respond to mine site emergencies as part of the onsite Emergency Response Team.
  • Foster clear communication within the team and with external stakeholders to optimize patient care pathways.
  • Maintain and ensure the functionality of medical equipment, medications, and consumables.
  • Conduct Drug and Alcohol testing services in accordance with the clients Safety Management System.
  • Develop and periodically update Medical Centre SOP's for the professional conduct and provision of an emergency on site services.  SOP's shall interface with the clients Emergency Response Plans.
  • Act as a member of the HSE Team, working together to improve the health, safety and wellbeing of all site personnel while caring for the environment.
  • Adhere to company policies, clinical protocols, and procedures at all times.

Mandatory Qualifications & Experience: Please provide the following documents with your resume application, or immediately post interview

  • Bachelor of Paramedical Science (or equivalent)
  • Current unrestricted registration with AHPRA
  • Current Manual C Class Driver's License
  • Advanced Life Support – within 3mths of commencement of employment.
  • HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • HLTAID011 Provide first aid
  • HLTAID014 Provide advanced first aid
  • HLTAID015 Provide advanced resuscitation and oxygen therapy
  • HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for drugs of abuse
  • RIIVEH305F Operate and Maintain 4WD
  • Immunization for Hepatitis, Hepatitis A & B, Tetanus - within 3mths of commencement of employment.
  • Successful completion of CPH&M Groups clinical scenario assessment
  • Proof of working rights in Australia (Visa, Passport or Birth Certificate)

Desirable:

  • Certificate III in Emergency Response Rescue (or equivalent) – or willing to obtain within 6 months.

  • Minimum electives to be completed:

    • RIIERR201 - Conduct fire team operations
    • PUAFIR207 - Operate breathing apparatus open circuit
    • PUASAR024 - Undertake Road Crash Rescue
    • PUASAR025 - Undertake Confined Space Rescue
    • PUASAR032 - Undertake Vertical Rescue
    • PUAFIR320 - Render Hazardous Materials Incidents Safe
    • UETTDRRF06 Perform rescue from a Live LV Panel
    • Standard 11 (current)
    • Current Coal Board Medical

  • Willingness to undergo periodic training to maintain competency levels.
