Formal Qualifications
- Trade Certificate, Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience)
Skills and Technical Competencies
- Strong knowledge of maintenance management practices, including preventive and predictive maintenance, and reliability engineering
- Great leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (e.g., asset booking system, time & attendance, or similar)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to perform under pressure in complex operational environments
- HSE responsibilities training and practical application in the field
Experience
- Oil & Gas industry knowledge preferred
- Advanced understanding of equipment and operations
- Strong HSE knowledge, including legislated responsibilities and competence
- Demonstrated experience in cost control and budget management
- Proficiency in CyberOffice or similar maintenance systems
Leadership and Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team
- Foster a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and accountability
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
- Implement tailored development plans for team members
- Ensure adequate staffing levels and effective workforce management
Maintenance Planning and Coordination
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise production disruption
- Liaise with operations and other departments to prioritise and address maintenance needs
Quality
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and quality standards
- Conduct quality system audits as required
- Ensure accurate and timely updating of asset maintenance data in CyberOffice
- Review, pre-approve, and document equipment modifications
Operational Efficiency
- Monitor equipment performance and reliability to identify improvement opportunities
- Implement and track maintenance KPIs to measure effectiveness
- Manage the maintenance budget, balancing cost control with resource availability
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Comply with and champion all company HSE policies and procedures
- Organise regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Investigate safety incidents and near misses, implementing corrective actions as required
- Ensure alignment with CR Jandakot Airport Operational Environmental Management Plan (OEMP) where applicable
Procurement
- Ensure all procurement activities align with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Report and manage non-compliance issues according to company procedures
- Maintain high housekeeping standards across all work areas
Inventory & Equipment Management
- Oversee spare parts and maintenance supply inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels
- Build and maintain strong supplier and vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts and service agreements
- Ensure all equipment records are properly documented and maintained
Continuous Improvement
- Lead and participate in root cause analysis and problem-solving initiatives
- Apply best practices and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and advancements in maintenance management
