About the role

To support our growth focused approach, We are currently seeking an experienced Yard Supervisor for the afternoon shift to join our team in Perth Branch.

Full Time (Monday – Friday)

PM Yard Supervisor (12:30pm – 8:30pm)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for managing the daily operations of the Branch logistics and yard operations.
  • Effective and efficient management of the customer service (delivery) operation (including Bulk LPG)
  • Forward planning for growth and continuous improvement for deliveries.
  • Handheld management and implementation.
  • Ensure co-ordination of training is provided for current and future drivers and yard staff to the required standards.
  • Ensure all staff, visitors and contractors operate within Supagas safety rules including Permit To Work (PTW) requirements.
  • Analyse skills and knowledge required for each role to develop job descriptions and task lists.
  • Conduct regular tool box meetings.
  • Attend and be prepared for management meetings as required.
  • Ensure that the Safety of staff, customers and the Public is maintained at all times.
  • Plan, create and manage the allocated delivery schedule, assign resources to the schedule, monitor and track progress of  deliveries according to schedule created.

Skills & experience

  • Must have a valid forklift license.
  • MR license is preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum 5 year 'experience in a similar role.
  • Previous gas industry experience advantageous but not essential.
  • Intermediate level of computer skills is essential.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service
  • The successful candidate will be required to attend a pre-employment medical examination.
