- Leave a legacy of stronger partner engagement, greater brand visibility and diversified income.
- Establish and lead a newly created portfolio driving engagement, growth and influence.
- A rare growth & communications executive opportunity to make a real impact in the disability sector.
Distinctive Options is a values-driven not-for-profit and registered NDIS provider dedicated to empowering people with disability to live with choice, independence and dignity. With a strong presence across Victoria, we partner with government, corporate and community organisations to create inclusive opportunities and build stronger, more connected communities. Our culture is caring and community-minded, with a genuine sense of purpose that unites staff and leaders alike. At the same time, we are practical and forward-looking, operating in a fast-changing NDIS environment where agility, creativity and resourcefulness are essential. Collaboration and trust sit at the core of how we work, encouraging our people to be adaptable, resilient and solution focused. With a refreshed executive structure and new strategic plan on the horizon, this is a unique opportunity to join a committed leadership team and help shape the next chapter of growth and impact.
The Chief Engagement & Growth Officer (CEGO) is a newly created executive position that will shape the next phase of Distinctive Options' growth and influence. Working closely with the CEO and peers across the executive team, the role provides strategic leadership of partnerships, business development, marketing, communications and growth initiatives. It will establish frameworks to diversify income, strengthen social enterprise ventures, and position the organisation as a respected and influential voice within the disability sector. Over time, the Chief Engagement & Growth Officer will build enduring relationships with funders and stakeholders, develop philanthropic and corporate investment, and elevate Distinctive Options' profile and reputation as a leader in the sector.
To be successful in this role, you will be an executive or senior engagement and business development professional from the disability, community, health or broader for-purpose sector. You bring exceptional relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to secure support from government tenders, trusts & foundations, and corporate partnerships. A strategic communicator and compelling storyteller, you know how to raise brand visibility, build donor loyalty, and inspire long-term support. You combine commercial acumen with a collaborative approach, ensuring growth initiatives are closely aligned with service delivery and participant outcomes. Resilient and creative, you thrive on the challenge of diversifying funding streams and transforming opportunities into sustainable impact.
This position can be offered as 0.6FTE, 0.8FTE or full-time employment. The role is based at Distinctive Options' head office in Sunbury, with flexibility to work part of the week from either our Brimbank, Bendigo, or Bairnsdale locations.
