WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Yamba Distilling Co is looking for an experienced Retail Manager to join our dynamic team.

We are seeking someone who is experienced, passionate, driven and who can lead a team.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate records of stock movement and financial transactions
  • Coordinate in-store promotions and advertising efforts to increase visibility and drive sales
  • Recruit, train, and supervise retail and tasting room staff to build a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team
  • Lead the retail team in delivering exceptional customer service and educate visitors on product origins, tasting notes, and usage
  • Prepare and manage budgets to ensure profitability and control costs across staffing, inventory, and marketing
  • Select and maintain a balanced range of spirits, merchandise, and tasting experiences that reflect the distillery's brand and customer preferences
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards, including safe alcohol handling and emergency procedures
  • Develop and implement purchasing policies, set competitive pricing, and collaborate with marketing on promotional campaigns

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • Degree, Diploma or Advanced Diploma related to Hospitality Management
  • A minimum of two years' managerial experience working in a fast pace, high-volume restaurant
  • Good communication skills
  • Outstanding customer relations
