Brook Racing and Sporting Technology is a leading sports technology provider on the Central Coast, NSW. We are growing and are currently looking to employ an Electronics Field Technician to join our fast pace technology team.
Established in 1954, Brook Racing & Sporting Technology proudly supplies wide range of services and technical equipment including photo finish cameras, LED screens, scoreboards, electronic timing systems, results data systems and biometric tracking systems to the racing and sporting industry throughout Australasia.
About The Role
- Assist the team to develop and install new and emerging technologies and provide end user technical support throughout the process.
- Be part of the on-call roster and complete on-call duties with minimal direction.
- Remotely solve issues with systems and create/action for yourself or other onsite technicians.
- Ensure all tasks assigned by the manager are completed in a timely manner, maintaining a high level of quality
- Prepare quotes for service work, ensuring accurate estimation of time and costs
- Competently carry out service restorations, ensuring minimal downtime for customers
- Liaise with clients, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring clear and effective communication of project status and technical requirements.
- Exposure to wide range of Brook Racing & Sporting Technology products and services which you will maintain and supply technical support
- The role will be conducted with half your time at our office and the other half travelling interstate at our clients' site.
- Travel opportunity across Australia. Generous penalty rate system for work away from home. Travel costs including petrol, meals and accommodation all covered.
We're interested in hearing from people who have
- Electronics, Communication or Information Technology qualifications.
- Current Work Safely at Heights statement of attainment (on job training available)
- Current Construction Induction (White Card) (on job training available)
- Experience with wireless and radio frequency (RF) systems and implementation is highly valued.
- Understanding of circuit board components and electronics methods of measure.
- Networking/Communications knowledge would be a great advantage
- Confident in operating computer systems
- Ability to fault-find to a component level and efficiently diagnose and resolve issues
- Ability to read complex circuit diagrams and apply solutions effectively
- High-level communication skills for liaising with clients, vendors, suppliers, and internal teams
- A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to hit the ground running
- Ability to travel interstate when required
- Understanding of racing and sporting industry and systems would be highly valued but not a requirement
