About The Role
Activ's a genU company, timber manufacturing business produces a range of timber products such as pallets, bed bases, crates and customised orders. The team in Bunbury is experiencing a busy period of growth due to ongoing work and new contracts. Due to this work and a recent internal promotion, we have a position available for a general hand who is looking to use their skills while working with people living with disability in a supportive environment.

This position is permanent full time work, willing to split roster to part time for the right candidate. Hours are Monday to Friday 7:54 am-4 pm, and will pay $25.85 per hour (approx. $51,079 equivalent) plus super and salary packaging options.

Duties Include

  • Working alongside supported employees in completing all tasks
  • Timber product manufacturing, packaging, and assembly tasks
  • Setting up wood cutting and profiling machinery to make components
  • Loading timber into machines and operating saw machines
  • Maintaining a safe and tidy workplace
  • Using a forklift to move timber products around the warehouse and making deliveries

What You Need

  • Great attitude towards working with people living with disability
  • Experience in or ability to work in a busy manufacturing environment
  • Experience in or ability to ensure the safe operation of plant, tools and equipment
  • Someone who communicates well with their fellow team members
  • Ideally hold a current forklift licence (TLILIC0003), or willingness to train
  • Current full WA driver's licence, Heavy Rigid license desirable
