Love working outdoors? Maka Tipi are searching for casual crew members to join our rigging team to set up our amazing giant hat tipis and bell tents. The work is physically tough and the hours can sometimes be long, but the rewards of working outdoors, creating amazing venues for our clients, experiencing different parts of the East Coast of Australia and working with a fun and amazing team of people make this a really exciting job opportunity.

THE JOB

Working with a team leader and other crew, you'll be helping to set up and dismantle our giant tipis and bell tents in various locations in the south east. We set up in backyards, wedding venues, farms, mountain tops, music venues, conference centres, festivals and everything in between. You'll also be involved in loading and unloading our equipment, driving our vehicles and various maintenance and cleaning tasks at our base on the Gold Coast.

This role would suit anyone undertaking some study or anyone looking for an additional job.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR – DESIRABLE

  • Full driving license
  • Trailer towing experience
  • Live within the Gold Coast area
  • Previous experience of working with giant tipis, marquees or other temporary structures
  • Experience of working outdoors

HOURS OF WORK

We usually leave our base early morning at around 6am, sometimes earlier for longer distance jobs. Anyone who applies needs to be aware of this and prepared. We can work up to 12 hours on larger jobs.

Our working week is generally Monday to Friday, but this varies depending upon how busy we are, and you may only be required on Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays.

Although weekend working is optional, we do require a certain level of flexibility when we are busy.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Casual

Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour
