As a result of a growing pipeline of awarded work, are currently recruiting for a Lead Civil Designer to join our Brisbane team.
About the role
- Provide process plant platform, access road, drainage and associated infrastructure design knowledge and supervision of civil project design team while working on deliverables.
- Prepare, review and sign off on layouts and detail drawings in line with project requirements.
- Deliver design drafting according to required project time-frames and standards by coordinating and supervising project members, reviewing deliverables and preparing design and detail drawings in line with requirements.
- Overcome design/schedule issues by maintaining an overview of activity, regularly communicating with the Lead Civil Engineer and addressing issues in a timely manner.
- Active collaboration and communication with project team and other disciplines, providing input to site selection and layout optimization of mineral processing plants.
About you
- A minimum of 10 years experience in Earthworks, Roadworks, and Drainage design in a relevant industry, e.g. mining, mineral processing, materials handling, and heavy industrial required.
- Advanced diploma or equivalent in Engineering desirable.
- Proven ability to lead, with prior experience leading Civil project design teams.
- Extensive experience in Civil 3D, or 12D and AutoCAD isa must.
- Well developed written and oral communication skills.
- Commitment to mentoring and coaching of personnel.
