About the role

Cleveland Timber & Hardware is seeking experienced Truck Drivers to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and reliable delivery of goods to our valued customers across the Townsville area. This is a casual role with regular almost full time hours.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles, including rigid trucks or semi-trailers, to deliver timber or trusses to customer sites
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle roadworthiness and report any issues
  • Load and unload vehicles, adhering to safe manual handling practices
  • Provide excellent customer service and liaise with customers to ensure their needs are met
  • Comply with all relevant road transport regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

  • A current Medium Rigid (MR) or above driver's licence with hiab experience preferred
  • Demonstrated experience as a Truck Driver, preferably in the road transport or logistics industry
  • Strong knowledge of road transport regulations and safe driving practices
  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering a high-quality service
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
