Job Type: Full Time – Onsite & On-Road

Victorian Gate & Fencing Group is a long-established, family-run manufacturer and installer of high-quality gates, fencing and automation systems across Melbourne and Victoria. We are expanding our installation team and seeking a highly experienced Installer with strong industry knowledge and excellent workmanship.


About the Role

We are looking for someone who can confidently install a wide range of:

  • Sliding, swing & cantilever gates
  • Steel, aluminium, heritage, and architectural fencing
  • Gate automation systems (Beninca, DACE, FAAC, etc.)
  • Pedestrian gates, panels, posts and custom fabrication
  • Commercial, industrial & residential installations

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Attending scheduled installations across Melbourne & surrounding areas
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, plans and site measurements
  • Carrying out high-quality installations with precision
  • Liaising with customers onsite in a professional manner
  • Working with factory and office teams for smooth project completion
  • Identifying site issues, problem-solving and ensuring safe work practices
  • Maintaining tools, equipment and company vehicle (if provided)

About You

We are specifically seeking someone with strong experience in the gate and fencing industry. Ideal applicants will have:

  • Minimum 3–5+ years experience installing gates/fencing
  • Deep knowledge of steel, aluminium and automation installations
  • Experience with MIG welding, fabrication or adjustments on-site
  • Confidence using power tools and installation equipment
  • Good problem-solving skills and a high-quality workmanship standard
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • A current driver's licence (manual preferred)
  • White Card (or willingness to obtain)

Optional but highly regarded:

  • Experience with electrical automation/low-voltage wiring
  • Experience installing commercial/industrial security or access systems
  • Forklift licence, EWP ticket, or similar
