Are you an experienced electrical professional looking to make a real impact? Our client, a leading player in Australia's energy sector, is seeking an
Electrical Compliance & Safety Specialist
to join their team.
Reporting to the Electrical Superintendent, you'll be the technical authority for electrical compliance and hazardous areas, ensuring all work meets legislative and safety standards. You'll mentor electrical teams, drive best practices, and contribute to a strong safety-first culture.
What You'll Do
- Sign off on electrical work in line with the Electrical Safety Act.
- Maintain compliance documentation and ensure QA processes are followed.
- Review and implement electrical safety policies.
- Mentor and induct electrical workers and contractors.
- Manage hazardous area registers and documentation.
- Support maintenance teams with hazardous area work orders.
- Monitor compliance performance and drive improvement initiatives.
About You
- Current Queensland Electrical Work Licence.
- 2+ years' experience in power generation, utilities, or heavy industry (preferred).
- Competencies in Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas: UEENEEG122A, UEENEEG123A, UEENEEG197A, UEENEEM078A.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety legislation, standards, and QA systems.
- Safety-focused, proactive, and a skilled mentor.
