About the role

As the Restaurant Manager for Mum`s Kitchen, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant located in Tranmere, SA 5073. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the smooth running of our establishment and delivering an exceptional dining experience to our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and coordinate all front-of-house staff, including servers and hosts to ensure efficient and friendly customer service
  • Oversee inventory management and ordering of food, beverages, and supplies to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to continuously improve customer service and operational efficiency
  • Monitor and adjust daily operations, such as reservations, staffing, and table management, to optimise workflow and customer experience
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to align front-of-house and back-of-house operations
  • Manage staff schedules, time-off requests, and performance reviews
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of marketing and promotional strategies

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a restaurant manager within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to foster a positive dining experience
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to handle daily challenges effectively
  • Proficient in inventory management, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team
  • Detailed knowledge of food safety, liquor licensing, and other relevant regulations
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
