APS6 Communications Officer – Internal Communications
We are seeking an experienced Communications Officer to support a major policy transformation through strategic internal communications. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful national priorities while working in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
About the Role
As an APS6 Communications Officer, you will play a key role in developing and delivering internal communications strategies that support organisational change. You'll work across a broad range of communication activities and contribute to improved processes and project planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement internal communications strategies and plans
- Prepare high-quality, accessible written content for diverse audiences
- Build strong internal networks to deliver timely and targeted communications
- Support the development and delivery of internal communications products
- Contribute to process improvements and communications-related project planning
What We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualifications in communications or public relations
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a communications-related role
- Strong writing, proofreading, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in strategy development and delivery
- Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organisational skills
- Ability to build effective relationships and thrive in evolving environments
- Familiarity with Australian Government processes
- Experience in the higher education sector is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SharePoint
Eligibility Requirements
- Australian citizenship
- ID verification and police check
