Role Description

We're looking for an experienced and well-rounded
Account Executive
to join our team at a key stage of growth. This role is suited to someone with a background in selling contact centre or customer experience (CX) solutions, particularly to the mid-market and Small to Mid-sized Companies (SMC) segment. You'll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach through to deal closure, and coordinating handover to the delivery team to ensure a smooth transition for the customer.

Key job responsibilities

  • Prospect and Develop Relationships:
    Identify and engage with mid-market and SMC clients, building strong relationships with key decision-makers to uncover new sales opportunities.
  • Activity Management:
    Drive a high volume of outreach activities - including calls, emails, and social selling - to maintain consistent engagement and build strong relationships with prospects.
  • Sales Planning & Direct Selling:
    Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive new business by leveraging your personal network, collaborating with channel partners on target account planning, utilizing intent data and buying signals for outbound prospecting, and engaging prospects through social selling.
  • Negotiation & Deal Closure:
    Lead negotiations with prospective clients to close deals confidently and effectively. Own the entire sales process from initial touchpoint through to contract signing and seamless handover to the delivery team, ensuring a smooth transition and positive customer experience.
  • Target Achievement:
    Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual financial targets.
  • Pipeline Management:
    Manage and provide timely updates to the sales pipeline and effectively communicate opportunities through management meetings and reviews.
  • Maintain CRM Discipline:
    Ensure accurate and timely updates in Microsoft Dynamics 365, including logging activities, tracking progress, and maintaining detailed records for all opportunities.
  • Market Awareness:
    Maintain a strong understanding of CentrePal's products and services. Stay informed on current market conditions and customer purchasing strategies to effectively position offerings, negotiate with confidence, and secure new business opportunities.
  • Build Market Presence:
    Act as a brand ambassador, engaging in networking events, webinars, and industry forums to raise awareness and build connections.
  • Industry & CX Trends:
    Stay up-to-date with the latest industry and customer experience (CX) trends, contact centre transformation, and AI advancements to effectively communicate how these innovations deliver tangible business value - such as improved efficiency, enhanced customer satisfaction, and measurable ROI - to key decision makers.

Ideal Candidate

This role would suit someone with the following qualifications, skills, and experience,

  • Self-starter focused on sourcing and qualifying new leads, especially in Greenfield markets.
  • Exceptional skills at building business relationships with key technical and business stakeholders
  • Outstanding presentation skills and the ability to effectively influence both technical and executive audiences.
  • Exceptional sales abilities with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Previous experience in Microsoft stack, Contact Centre, Unified Communications and Telecom industries.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, partners, and attend industry events.
  • Have valid working rights in Australia.
