About the Role

We are seeking an Experienced Engineer with proven expertise in automotive coil spring design, specifically suspension coil applications used in passenger vehicles, light commercial vehicles, and performance vehicles. This role involves end-to-end engineering of coil springs—design, analysis, testing, optimisation, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of automotive suspension coil springs from concept to production.
  • Perform detailed finite element analysis (FEA), fatigue evaluations, and durability testing.
  • Optimise spring geometry, material selection, and manufacturing specifications to meet ride, handling, and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with OEMs, suppliers, and internal manufacturing teams to support prototypes and large-scale production.
  • Review engineering drawings, technical reports, and validation data.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards and quality requirements (ISO/TS 16949, ISO 9001).
  • Troubleshoot spring performance issues and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in coil spring or suspension component design.
  • Strong knowledge of spring dynamics, metallurgy, stress analysis, and fatigue behaviours.
  • Proficiency with engineering software (SolidWorks/Inventor, ANSYS/FEA tools, CAD).
  • Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers (preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00 – $40.00 per hour
