About the Role

We are seeking a diligent and analytical Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate financial reports, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes for the financial services line of business. This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity of financial data and providing insights for business decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).

- Perform account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.

- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports.

- Maintain compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external regulations.

- Collaborate with external auditors during audits.

- Support the finance team in ad hoc projects, financial analysis and reporting tasks.

What We Are Looking For

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience is acceptable.

- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification (preferred but not required).

- Experience in financial accounting or a similar role.

- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.

- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., MYOB, SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.

- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in novated leasing and technology/SAAS industries is an advantage

- Familiarity with ERP systems. Workday Financials is an advantage

- Knowledge of tax laws and financial regulations (AFSL)
