Stake is looking for an IT Security Operations Analyst to join us at our Sydney HQ, with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office, 2 WFH).

*About this role*
We're seeking a motivated IT Security Operations Analyst with 2–3 years of hands-on experience to join our team on a contract basis. In this role you will support the security operations function by monitoring systems, responding to threats, and ensuring compliance with best-practice security policies. The ideal candidate has a strong technical foundation, is detail-oriented, and is eager to contribute to a fast-paced and high-growth environment. In this role you will:
- Monitor systems, networks, and applications for security threats and anomalies
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, coordinating with internal IT and external stakeholders when necessary
- Assist in the maintenance and improvement of security tools (e.g., DMARC, email security, SIEM, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, firewalls)
- Provide daily operational support for security infrastructure and tools
- Create and update security documentation, processes, procedures, and runbooks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts
- Assist with user access reviews and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory frameworks
- Contribute to security awareness initiatives and training
- Generate regular reports on system health, incidents, vulnerabilities, and compliance posture
*A bit about you*
- 2–3 years of experience in IT security or security operations
- Knowledge of common security concepts and frameworks (ISO 27001, Essential-8, CIS Controls, etc.)
- Experience with security monitoring tools (SIEMs, antivirus/EDR, IDS/IPS)
- Good understanding of IDP and MDM environment for both Mac and Windows devices
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and understanding of common cyber-attack vectors
- Excellent communication skills and ability to document clearly
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment for ScaleUps, FinTechs or Startups
- Experience supporting compliance audits or assessments
