About the Role:

This commercially focused role leads franchise development across NSW & ACT within the Helloworld Travel network.

You will identify and onboard new franchise partners, enhance engagement with existing members, and drive commercial performance through strategic support, segmentation, best practice initiatives, and digital enablement.

A key focus will be increasing the adoption and utilisation of core business tools including Resworld, the Helloworld Mobile App, and other productivity-enhancing platforms. You will contribute to team strategy discussions, support preferred partner targets, and influence in-house wholesale engagement.

What you're accountable for?

In this new role as Business Manager, you will:

  • Develop strong relationships with existing franchisees, ensuring ongoing support, engagement, and preferred partner performance.
  • Identify opportunities for potential multi-store owners.
  • Construct and implement partnership plans to maximise value and alignment with business objectives.
  • Apply segmentation and proven territory management through a structured call plan approach.
  • Champion the use of core business platforms (Resworld, Data Check, Helloworld Mobile App, Genesys Marketing platform), ensuring franchisees are trained, compliant, and aligned with best practice.
  • Deliver targeted coaching and education sessions to drive digital engagement and improve operational efficiency.
  • Provide strategic account management support including business analysis and planning, marketing activation, and supplier program participation.
  • Drive franchise and agent profitability by aligning operations with Helloworld's value proposition and commercial objectives.
  • Contribute to team meetings with market insights and input into overall strategy.
  • Ensure CRM data is accurate and up to date to support reporting and relationship management.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to deliver effective communication, system updates, and feedback loops.
  • Travel interstate and overseas as required to support network development and partner engagement.

Key Performance Areas & KPIs

System Usage & Digital Engagement:

  • Resworld: Increase active usage across franchise network inline with growth targets
  • Helloworld Mobile App: Increase usage for itinerary building and client communications
  • Data check: Regular reporting on tool utilisation and engagement by store

Training:

  • Participate in training academy workshops
  • Ensure franchisees receive and complete the latest training modules, webinars, and masterclasses in conjunction with the training team

Supplier Engagement:

  • Drive target % of TTV attributed to preferred suppliers
  • Encourage franchisee participation in marketing campaigns, incentive programs, and in-house wholesale opportunities
  • Monitor and enhance preferred partner percentage across the network
  • Champion initiatives to improve agent profitability

Franchise Retention & Satisfaction:

  • Monitor satisfaction metrics and ensure ongoing franchisee retention through strategic support and engagement

As the ideal applicant you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Travel and Tourism or degree in Commerce or Business Management
  • 5+ years of travel industry experience, preferably from various travel businesses
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to drive results and deliver KPIs
  • Experience constructing partnership plans and managing profitable agent relationships
  • Familiarity with segmentation and structured territory/call planning
  • Expertise in digital platforms used within the travel or retail industries (preferred)
  • Proven track record in training and stakeholder engagement
