The Opportunity

We are partnering with a heavily backed deep-tech startup developing a revolutionary industrial hardware solution. With funding from some of the world's most prestigious investors, they are tackling global decarbonization through advanced electromechanical systems.

This is a rare opportunity to join a company that bridges the gap between high-power electronics and heavy industry. They are racing to product launch within 18 months, with a dual focus on large-scale plants and small modular units. To help with this journey, we are looking for a "gun" engineer - someone technically exceptional, hands-on, and ready to move at pace.

The Role

This is a pure product development role. You will be taking high-power, large-scale electromechanical products from concept through to full lifecycle production. You won't just be designing; you will be in the lab, building and testing what you create.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Thermal Management:
    Solve critical thermal challenges using CFD and real-world testing (the core technology involves extreme heat/energy transfer).
  • Complex System Design:
    Lead the mechanical design of large-scale products incorporating high-power electronics and pressure vessels.
  • DFM Implementation:
    Bridge the gap between R&D prototyping and mass production.
  • Manufacturing Processes:
    Oversee tooling and production techniques, specifically die casting and injection moulding for large components.
  • Prototyping:
    Hands-on fabrication and assembly to support the team in the lab.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience:
    Significant experience in product development for consumer or industrial products (specifically involving power electronics, high-voltage systems, or complex machinery).
  • CAD:
    Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential.
  • Background:
    A unique blend of agile startup experience combined with the rigor of large-scale manufacturing environments.
  • Mindset:
    You must be delivery-focused. We are looking for someone who thrives under pressure and can execute quickly.
