APU Excavations & Rentals is growing, and we're on the lookout for an experienced Vac Truck Operator (NDD) to join our team.

We're a thriving, family-owned business based in Yatala, specialising in excavation, rentals, and underground services. With a modern fleet of excavators, vacuum trucks, and other equipment, we deliver reliable Dry Hire and Wet Hire solutions to long-term clients across Southeast Queensland.

What you'll be doing

  • Operating vacuum trucks and associated equipment safely and efficiently
  • Carrying out vacuum excavation and non-destructive digging (NDD) tasks
  • Performing daily checks, routine maintenance, and inspections on trucks and equipment
  • Following safety protocols and environmental regulations at all times
  • Working alongside a skilled team to complete diverse projects across Southeast Queensland
  • Potential to operate excavators for extra variety of work

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a vac truck/NDD operator
  • HR Truck Driver Licence (essential)
  • Solid problem-solving skills and a proactive, team-focused attitude
  • Strong communication and reliability on site
  • Excavator tickets advantageous but not essential
