Join our team and help deliver No Interest Loans (NILs) and other community finance products that make a tangible difference in people's lives. As a Loan Administration Officer, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring clients receive timely, respectful, and effective support.

What You'll Be Doing
Your day-to-day will be dynamic and client-focused, including:

• Client Communication Respond to client enquiries via phone and email with professionalism and empathy, ensuring a high standard of service.
• Loan Documentation Process and verify loan documentation for a range of programs and client groups, ensuring accuracy and completeness in Fin Power.
• Enquiry Management Handle internal and external queries regarding loan applications, account statuses, and client information.
• Reporting and Data Integrity Maintain weekly account clean-up reports and proactively resolve data discrepancies.
• Supplier Coordination Liaise with suppliers to confirm stock availability and payment arrangements, supporting timely client outcomes.
• Loan Repayment Follow-Up Contact clients regarding overdue payments, offering support and guidance to resolve balances.
• Record Management Keep client records organised, accurate, and compliant with data retention policies.
• Audit and Compliance Assist with internal audits to ensure documentation meets compliance and regulatory standards.
• Administrative Support Provide general admin support including data entry, scanning, and filing.
• Confidentiality and Data Security Handle client and organisational data securely and in line with privacy guidelines.
• Continuous Improvement Contribute to initiatives that improve loan administration processes and client outcomes.

Key Selection Criteria

• Experience with loan processing and supporting clients to understand options and obligations.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
• Strong digital literacy (spreadsheets, databases, word processing).
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Alignment with Good Shepherd's values and understanding of financial exclusion in Australia.

About You

• Certificate or Diploma in Community Services (desirable) or experience in a similar role.
• Experience with loan systems or similar platforms.
• Strong collaboration and consultation skills.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally sensitive practice.
• Experience working with CALD communities and other diverse groups.
