Terra Verde is a joint venture between Webuild, GS Engineering & Construction (E&C) Australia, and Bouygues Construction Australia.

The joint venture combines experienced local personnel with global resources and expertise.

Terra Verde is delivering nearly 10 kilometres of parallel tunnels between Glen Waverley and Box Hill, including 39 cross passages and two station boxes at Glen Waverley and Burwood in Melbourne's eastern suburbs, as part of the Suburban Rail Loop Project.

This is the largest infrastructure project in Victoria's history, shaping Melbourne and Victoria for future generations.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor join our Land, Planning, and Environment team. In this role, you will contribute to the success of the SRL Tunnels North Project by helping to achieve its goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support team of environment advisors / coordinators
• Coordinate specialist subcontractors (groundwater monitoring, ecologists, arborists etc)
• Implement requirements of environmental specialist documents on site, such as Noise & Vibration Impact Assessments.
• Support EPR compliance lead with implementation of Suburban Rail Loops Environmental Performance Requirements (EPRs) at a site level.
• Track the implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) across the Project.
• Deliver training to site teams and projects teams on environmental risk and general environmental culture.
• Undertake weekly site environmental inspections.
• Responsible for gathering/monitoring site data such as noise and vibration, surface water quality, groundwater quality, waste tracking, soil sampling etc.
• Work closely with subcontractors to collect monthly KPI data and assistance with monthly reporting.
• Knowledge of environmental approvals and permits

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in environmental management in construction
• Effective communication at all levels of a Project
• Experience in managing data/information in preparation for audits.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in environmental management, science, sustainability, engineering, or similar
• Knowledge of current and emerging sustainability rating systems (desirable)
• Practical knowledge of ISO 14001 management systems.
• Basic proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and email software.
• Full driver's license and white card.

Skills and Attributes:

• Experience with major infrastructure projects, ideally in Melbourne, Victoria.
• Proficiency in document and records management, including compliance and archiving. Environmental performance and compliance reporting.
• Confidence in delivering training and facilitating workshops on environmental topics.
• Understanding of State and Commonwealth environmental legislation, including the General Environmental Duty.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication and the ability to influence project outcomes.
