About the roles

We are seeking Support Workers to provide disability supports to a 26-year-old male Participant in a 24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL) environment.

·       Commencement: The SIL begins on 6 October, with induction and training provided in early October.

·       Lifestyle & Interests: He is very family-oriented, enjoys camping, and loves getting out and about. The home also has a pool, so Support Workers must be comfortable providing support in the water.

·       Health & Safety: It's important to note that he has a severe nut allergy. Support Workers must not consume any nut products for a minimum of 24 hours before providing supports.

·       Support Requirements:

o   2:1 support for 10 hours each day

o   Active overnight support from 10:00pm – 6:00am

The ideal candidate(s) will have;

·       Experience supporting individuals with Autism

·       Experience with Epilepsy management

·       A passion for empowering individuals and fostering independence.

·       At least 12 months' experience in complex SIL environments

·       A calm, non-judgemental approach with strong professional boundaries

·       Flexibility to work across a variety of shifts (including active night shifts)
