As a member of the Catering team at Lewisham Nursing Home, you will lead the meal plating, heating, and distribution for our residents and manage an established team of catering assistants.

This role includes overseeing the effective meal service to our aged care residents, as well as providing best practice service in kitchen cleanliness, documentation and food preparation.

About The Role

• Receiving meals from our offsite kitchen.
• Plating & heating meals for residents
• Leading a team of catering assistants

To be successful in this role you'll need

• A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
• Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
• Good communication skills
• A reliable team player
• Simple cooking experience
• Basic Food safety Practices Certificate
• Good understanding of food safety practices
• Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) preferred
• Team leadership, able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
• Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
• NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
