Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of:

  • Individual and Sole Trader Income Tax Returns.
  • Company, Partnership, Trust, SMSF Tax Returns.
  • Business Activity Statements (BAS) and IAS for a variety of clients.
  • Financial Statements for small to medium enterprises (SMEs).
  • Corresponding with the ATO on behalf of clients as needed.
  • Maintaining clear and concise client records within our systems.

Who We Are Looking For (The Ideal Candidate)

  • You have proven experience within an Australian accounting practice, specifically in tax compliance and BAS preparation.
  • You are software-competent and can quickly adapt to new systems. Experience with major tax and accounting software is essential.
  • You are a self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision, demonstrating excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • You possess exceptional attention to detail and take pride in delivering high-quality, accurate work.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Most importantly, you are reliable, professional, and value the flexibility this role offers.
