What will your typical day look like? As a Director in our Perth-based AI & Data team, you will take a hands-on leadership role in shaping the future of data-driven decision-making. Your typical day will include:"

• Shaping & Driving Strategy – Define and execute AI & data strategies that align with business goals, ensuring measurable impact for clients.
• Leading High-Impact Projects – Oversee large-scale AI, analytics, and data transformation initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
• Building Client Relationships – Act as a trusted advisor, engaging with C-suite and senior stakeholders to uncover opportunities and solve complex business challenges.
• Managing Commercial Success – Own project profitability, ensuring engagements meet commercial targets while delivering high-value solutions.
• Developing High-Performing Teams – Mentor and coach a diverse team of data engineers, scientists, and consultants, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Driving Innovation & Modernization – Spearhead the adoption of next-generation cloud, AI, and data platforms, ensuring organizations stay ahead of industry trends.
• Enhancing Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing – Work closely with Deloitte's global network and strategic partners (AWS, Microsoft, Google, Snowflake, Databricks) to bring world-class AI & Data solutions to clients.

Through these responsibilities, you will directly contribute to shaping the AI & Data landscape in Australia, driving innovation, and delivering real-world impact for clients.

About the team: Our diverse AI & Data team comprises over 500 specialist practitioners across Australia. We partner with public and private sector clients to design and implement world-leading solutions and capabilities. Our technology relationships with market-leading vendors such as AWS, Microsoft, Google, Snowflake, and Databricks enable us to be at the forefront of new and emerging capabilities.

Enough about us, let's talk about you. You are someone with:

• Proven track record (typically 10+ years) of leading high-performing AI & Data teams delivering enterprise-scale analytical solutions, and driving digital transformation initiatives
• Proven experience managing large-scale data and analytics projects in both public and private sectors.
• Expertise in cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and advanced SQL, Python, and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Experience with leading data platforms like Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-native AI/ML tools.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders and translating complex insights into business strategies.
• Project management experience using Agile methodologies.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related fields.

Performance Expectations: As a Director, you will be expected to lead relationship management, drive business development, and foster innovation aligned with Deloitte's AI & Data strategic goals.  Aligned with Deloitte's T&T Performance Expectations Framework, your role will focus on driving measurable business impact across these key areas:

• Client Relationship Management: Owns client and stakeholder relationships, managing client risk, team risk, and firm reputational risk.

• Innovation and Transformation: Contribute to innovation and transformation by driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Business Development: Contribute to building eminence and relationships, supporting business development efforts aligned to strategy.
• Operational Excellence: Meet Quality and Risk Management standards and complete operational standards (timesheets, scheduling, etc.).
