Finance Accountant

Key Responsibilities- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
- Ensure compliance with BAS, FBT, payroll reconciliation, ATO reporting, and superannuation.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and intercompany transactions.
- Handle weekly payroll preparation and manage BAS & GST reporting.
- Assist with accounts payable functions and process credit card payments.
- Support month-end close and generate profit & loss reports (including actual vs budget).
- Liaise with external accountants for end-of-year accounts.
- Maintain company registers, schedules, and compliance documentation.
- Provide accurate and timely financial reports and insights.
- Collaborate with Finance team members and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting.
- Experience in a similar role preferred (CA/CPA qualification desirable but not essential).
- Proficiency in MYOB and advanced Excel (lookup/pivot).
- Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical accuracy.
- Able to work independently, with initiative and a results-driven mindset.
- Deadline-driven with a proactive, "can do" attitude.
- Strong communicator, comfortable liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised, with a passion for quality outcomes.
- Passion for sustainability and environmental conservation (highly regarded).
- Australian citizenship or valid work permit, plus a current Driver's Licence.
