Perth, Western Australia School of Health Full time $60,000 - $80,000 per year

We are seeking experienced casual educators to join our dynamic and supportive education team in the School of Health. You will be integral in supporting the growth and development of our new Certificate lll offerings in the school, working also with students from our sister RTO Alffie, provide training and assessment for students enrolled in the Certificate lll Individual Support and/or Certificate lll Community Services. You will be in a key educational position which drives student satisfaction and progression through these qualifications. As an educator you will be responsible for fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement, critical thinking and continued professional development.

You will use your skills to create and enhance the learning experience of students using a range of delivery modes, including face to face education, online, simulation and in clinical practice. You will demonstrate your experience in planning, delivering, evaluating, and assessing in classroom-based assessments. As a School of Health educator, you will be responsible for students learning (face to face) education, assessment, and clinical placement.

Permanency will be offered to candidates throughout the year, who embody the School of Healths principles of "Drive, Inspire and Ignite".

The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Training and Assessment

  • Conduct competency-based training and assessment of learners using a range of delivery modes including face-to-face, simulation, and workplace-based scenarios.
  • Provide students with the practical knowledge and skills in areas such as case management, community development, advocacy and service delivery.
  • Maintain clinical currency to support evidence-based and industry relevant delivery

  • of training materials.

  • Demonstration of best clinical practice.
  • Complete administrative tasks associated with training provision in a timely and accurate manner, including the maintenance of accurate learner records.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of training materials in accordance with Australian Skills Quality Authority (ASQA) requirements.

Student Support and Engagement

  • Provide individual and group support to students, including guidance on academic progress, career opportunities, and personal development.
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative learning environment.
  • Offer timely feedback on assessments and assignments, ensuring that students are aware of their progress and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor student attendance and participation, addressing any concerns or challenges early on to support successful course completion.

Curriculum & Resource Development:

  • Contribute to the development and review of curriculum content, ensuring that it reflects current industry practices and standards.
  • Develop and update learning resources, including lesson plans, handouts, and online materials, to enhance student learning.
  • Stay current with trends, regulations, and best practices in the community services sector to continuously improve teaching practices.

Community Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with community members, organisations, and industry stakeholders.
  • Participate in campus community events (open days) and expos to raise awareness of the School and courses we deliver

Professional Development:

  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain up to date with changes in educational methodologies and the community services sector.
  • Participate in internal and external training, workshops, and conferences to enhance personal and professional knowledge.
