Casual Baker – Ongoing Role (Sovereign Hill, Ballarat Area)
Location: Sovereign Hill, Ballarat, VIC

Our client in the catering industry is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Baker to join their team on a casual ongoing basis with a view to permanency in the Sovereign Hill area of Ballarat.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced baker who enjoys working in a supportive team, producing a wide variety of baked goods to a high standard.

As a Baker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day production of a variety of baked goods. This includes:

• Preparing and baking a wide range of products such as sweet pastries, cakes, tarts, savoury breads, and artisan loaves

• Contributing to the development of menus and custom items for corporate functions, events, and catering orders

• Managing baking schedules to ensure timely and consistent production

• Ensuring high standards of presentation, quality, and freshness are met in all products

• Following all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health standards

• Assisting with general kitchen duties as needed and maintaining a clean work area

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is self-motivated, works well under pressure, and takes pride in delivering consistently excellent baked goods.

• 3–5 years of professional baking experience in a commercial or catering environment

• Solid skills in both sweet and Savoury baking techniques

• Ability to work shifts and manage production timelines

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Able to work both independently and within a team setting

• A strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards

• Full Australian working rights (citizenship, PR, or valid unrestricted visa) are essential
