Role Summary
- Oversight and coordination regarding ongoing forecasts of project revenue and costs with BU managers, Project Managers and other personnel to ensure that all financial aspects of project execution are on track, including project PL and BS forecasts
- Management of accounting data and financial processes, including monitoring and analysis of actual project financial performance
- Ensure the timely and accurate recognition of revenue and cost of sales in compliance with the Toshiba accounting policies, practices and processes
- Forecasting of project cashflows, including monitoring and analysis of actual cashflow performance
- Timely production of project financial reports as required
- Assist with the implementation of the Netsuite System including the integration with the Altus system
- Ensuring that appropriate internal controls are implemented and maintained within the financial reporting systems
- Further develop Netsuite/Altus integration, as required
- Manage and provide support for audit requirements including financial analysis and reconciliation of projects
- Ensure the management and compliance of project FX management
- Perform any additional assignments as directed by Management.
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelors / Masters degree in accounting. CPA / CA certification would be highly regarded.
- 5-10 years' experience in project and cost accounting
- Proven ability in preparation of reports, working to tight monthly deadlines and supporting project delivery teams
- Strong skills in budgeting, analysis, financial reporting, and compliance
- Appropriate accounting software knowledge and solid understanding of accounting principles.
- Experience with Netsuite, Oracle or similar ERP systems would be beneficial.
- Attention to detail even when working under pressure to meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- High competency in Excel, Outlook and data visualization tools
- Experience in a large project/engineering business environment would be highly regarded.
