What we are looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Volunteer Coordinator at our Ferntree Gully site. We support and treasure our team and culture and work collaboratively to provide fun and exciting opportunities and experiences to those we support.
The aim of the volunteer program coordinator is to manage the recruitment, training, placement, support and retention of volunteers across the agency. With development and support, volunteers then provide quality services for young people with a disability and their families, through hands on involvement in service provision and an understanding of the issues that exist for families.
This role requires some flexibility outside of standard business hours.
This role will include:
• Coordinating volunteer recruitment, onboarding, training, and retention.
• Delivering orientation sessions and ongoing training, including with high school, university, and community partners.
• Supporting and developing volunteers, including recognition and appreciation events.
• Managing the volunteer database and maintaining program materials.
• Supporting and promoting pathways to employment opportunities for volunteers.
• Building and maintaining strong partnerships with schools, universities, and community groups.

• Strong written skills for documents, training materials, and reports.
• Experience working with volunteers or in a related field.

• A Working with Children Check
In addition to the safety screening, the successful applicant will be required to provide proof of currency for: first aid certification – Provide First Aid HLTAID0012, manual handling and undertake the NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
