About the role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Fire Suppression Service Technician to join our team at WA FIRE PROTECTION SOLUTIONS' in Australia Plains, SA. This is a full-time role where you will be responsible for providing comprehensive maintenance, servicing and repair of vehicle fire suppression systems. Your work will be crucial in ensuring the safety and compliance of our clients' fire protection equipment.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting regular inspections, testing and maintenance of vehicle fire suppression systems
  2. Diagnosing and repairing faults in fire suppression systems
  3. Providing advice and recommendations to clients on the optimal performance and upkeep of their equipment
  4. Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all service and repair work
  5. Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with relevant codes, standards and regulations
  6. Supporting the wider team with installations, upgrades and other projects as needed

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience as a vehicle fire suppression service technician or in a similar technical role
  1. Strong working knowledge of fire protection systems and associated equipment
  2. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics and drawings
  4. Sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
  5. Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and team members
  6. A relevant trade qualification or certification in fire protection or a similar field
