Make an impact at Serco

Serco operates and maintains the RSV Nuyina, Australia's premier Antarctic research and resupply vessel. We are calling for expressions of interest from qualified maritime professionals in the following roles:

  • Marine Cooks
  • 3rd Engineers
  • Deck and Engineering Officers
  • Integrated Ratings
  • Stewards
  • Electro-Technical Officers (ETOs)

As part of our crew, you'll contribute to safe and efficient operations, supporting vital research and supply missions to Antarctica.

Serco is a place for you

To be successful, you must hold:

  • AMSA Certification relevant to your role
  • AMSA Certificate of Medical Fitness
  • Right to work in Australia and a valid passport
  • Ability to undergo an AAD Polar Medical Examination
  • Demonstrated experience in maritime operations
  • Strong teamwork, adaptability, and commitment to safety

  • This position carries trust and responsibility. To support this, a comprehensive probity assessment, including a Police Check, is a key part of the selection process for this role.
