Global Talent Placements is a workforce solutions provider specialising in the supply of skilled workers to Australia's leading construction, mining, infrastructure, and industrial clients. Our labour hire division plays a key role in delivering reliable, compliant and job-ready talent where it's needed most. This business is a compliment to our already established international recruitment operations, with offices in major cities across the globe.

We are now seeking a hands-on General Manager to take ownership of our labour hire and on-hire operations in Australia. This is not a desk-bound role — we're looking for someone who knows how to manage crews, keep clients happy, and solve problems in real time. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our labour hire workforce, with full accountability for delivery, compliance and performance.

This role will also extend to the management of our established international team of highly skilled and qualified trade talent which have recently migrated to Australia under our On Hire Labour Agreement with the Department of Migration.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day labour hire operations, including mobilisation, rostering, and site delivery

• Act as the key contact for client site supervisors, labour teams, and internal stakeholders

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through responsive service and workforce reliability

• Identify and pursue new labour hire opportunities with existing and prospective clients

• Attend site visits and client meetings to assess needs, propose solutions, and secure new work

• Monitor contract performance, labour utilisation, cost controls and margin performance

• Resolve issues on-site quickly to maintain service standards and workforce engagement

• Ensure full compliance with WHS, Fair Work, visa conditions and internal policies

• Collaborate with recruitment and migration teams to ensure pipeline matches future demand
