The role is responsible for the operational delivery and compliance of Power & HVAC projects. The Operations Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders to design systems, provide quotes, build delivery plans, select appropriate plant equipment, oversee execution of installation, and ensure that ongoing maintenance plans are executed.

You'll Enjoy Variety In Your Role Including

  • Lead team for effective and efficient hire branch operations relating to; equipment deliveries, transfers, pick-ups, on & offsite repairs and response to breakdowns across equipment portfolio
  • Manage budgets, P&L and KPI's across branches including responsibility for project profitability.
  • Work with Sales teams, Project Managers & trades personnel to design and price temporary Power & HVAC systems
  • Attend site meetings, liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective logistics, installation, and maintenance programming of Power & HVAC systems.
  • Monitor equipment utilization and drive fleet availability to meet customer needs, optimize fleet utilization and profitability across relevant product categories
  • Develop and mentor team of employees and subcontractors to provide specialist services for the installation and ongoing maintenance of Power & HVAC projects.
  • Work seamlessly with adjacent Coates business' to ensure best allocation of personnel and available resources
  • Ensure administration and compliance to work practices and safety systems on Coates sites and in the field
  • Demonstrate and lead Coates Safety First -Zero Harm culture, deliver toolbox talks, manage KPI's and continuously strive to improve safety systems and performance
  • Ensure highest standards of Customer Experience through trade and operational best practice

What You'll Bring To The Role

  • Relevant Business, Project and/or Service Management experience
  • Trade or Engineering qualifications in HVAC and/or Electrical disciplines
  • Experience with mechanical plant, ie. Diesel Power Generation
  • Experience building and leading multidisciplined teams
  • Can do, customer first attitude
