Equity-only (Co-founder level) with a clear path to liquidity via dividends and/or exit.

Our client is a bootstrapped startup on a mission to improve the lives of older Australians receiving home care services. They have spent the last year building a telephony-based conversational AI platform to provide proactive, high-value assistance to care teams delivering care to older adults living in their homes.

There is a mostly completed, functional prototype built in
Dart (Flutter), Python, and JavaScript
on
GCP
and
AWS
. They are on the verge of their first breakthrough, with two strong leads, including one potentially looking to start a
paid trial within the next two weeks.

The Urgent Opportunity: Why We Need You

This is a unique and critical role. The brilliant technical co-founder has unfortunately had to stop all coding indefinitely due to a severe recurrence of RSI.

We need a passionate and skilled engineer to
step into the breach immediately
, take ownership of the codebase, and help cross the finish line. This isn't a typical "employee" role; this is an opportunity to step in as the engineering leader, with a co-founder-level equity stake to match.

You will be working directly with the other co-founder to prepare the platform for its first trial, with the full support and detailed handover from our original engineer.

Your Immediate Responsibilities (First 30 Days)

Your primary goal is to get us trial-ready.

Take Ownership:
Rapidly onboard and understand the existing platform architecture (Dart, Python, JS, GCP/AWS) via a detailed handover from our technical co-founder.

·
Complete Core Integrations:
Finalise the
Stripe billing integration
to process payments for the trial.

·
Productionise the Platform:
Identify and fix critical bugs, stabilise the application, and ensure it's robust enough for its first live users.

·
Support the Trial:
Be the technical lead for our first paid trial, monitoring the system and responding to any issues that arise.

Your Long-Term Role

·Lead all aspects of the technical strategy, roadmap, and development.

·Scale the platform to support a growing user base.

·Iterate on the product based on user feedback and market needs.

·Work as a strategic partner to the co-founder to build and grow the company.

Who We're Looking For

This high-autonomy role is perfect for one of two profiles:

1. A
   "gun" engineer
   who is an incredibly fast learner, highly ambitious, and looking for a chance to own a product, get invaluable startup exposure, and make a massive impact.

2.A
mission-driven senior engineer
who has deep technical experience and is now looking for a "give back" opportunity, applying their skills to a project with genuine social good.

The working prototype uses a GCP-based Flutter/Dart front-end and Python backend. Your mission is to understand & maintain the prototype while we get into market (representing the tech-side of the business in customer meetings). You will own the tech, so your choice whether to enhance or completely re-write the prototype (and, for example, change to AWS).

Stripe API integration

Telephony platforms

Conversational AI

Setting up CI/CD pipelines and production monitoring

What We Offer

Significant Co-Founder-Level Equity:
This is an
equity-only
role to begin. In recognition of the risk and responsibility, you will be offered a substantial equity stake, drawn directly from the outgoing co-founder's 50% share. The exact amount is negotiable based on your fit and experience.

A Path to Income:
The focus is on securing this first paid trial to unlock revenue and potential exit.

Full Handover & Mentorship:
The outgoing technical co-founder is committed to providing a detailed codebase handover and will be available for on-demand advice and support.
