The role

Crown is the ultimate destination for dining experiences, with a vast array of casual offerings to more premium settings. We have something to suit everyone's tastes.

We're seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join the Culinary Team as the Chef de Cuisine looking after The Hive (staff dinning room) and Commissary.

In this full-time role you will oversee operations for both kitchens at Crown Perth. In this hands-on role, your creativity and passion for food will be channelled into creating exceptional dining experiences. You will be required to train and mentor your teams while liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior-level management. This unique role looks after Commissary and The Hive, the staff dinning room provides over 18,000 meals a week in our spectacular buffet inhouse restaurant.

In this role, you'll provide joyful experiences, as well as:

  • Create modern menus, bringing the culinary talents to light 
  • Set a leading example and inspire a team of kitchen professionals
  • Oversee financial figures, headcount and overall operations of the kitchens
  • Ensure effective outlet management and efficiencies within the operation
  • Coach, guide and mentor team members
  • Adhere to all Crown safety policies and procedures 
  • Ensure the product consistency is attained in regard to appearance and taste
  • Delegation of tasks and ensuring stock levels
Job Description

About you

You'll bring the following:

  • Experience in a Chef De Cuisine role managing successful daily operations, ideally in a buffet or bulk cooking operation
  • Understanding of food safety standards and HACCP
  • Experience in a large five-star organisation with exposure to high volume
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Cook Chill Operation experience desirable
Qualifications

Certificate 3&4 Commercial Cookery / Kitchen Management
