The role:

As City Beach's Time and Attendance Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in keeping our scheduling fair, accurate, and compliant. From building smart roster patterns to analysing data and monitoring legislation requirements, you'll help ensure our teams are supported and our operations run smoothly. This role is proactive, preventing pay issues, reducing compliance risks, and driving efficiency through clear and consistent scheduling practices.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and maintain compliant schedules by partnering with management and leadership, reviewing builds before publishing, and ensuring alignment with operational requirements and industrial instruments.
  • Identify, resolve, and prevent compliance issues through daily schedule audits, trend analysis, addressing inefficiencies, liaising with management, and providing guidance and ongoing education.
  • Stay up to date with legislation and agreements by collaborating with the People Advisory team to ensure scheduling practices reflect changes to employment law, awards, and enterprise agreements.
  • Support administrative and system tasks to maintain part-time scheduling compliance, keep people and payroll systems aligned, monitor visa-related restrictions, escalate pay discrepancies, and address system issues with People Analysts or IT.
  • Implement, test, and maintain system updates while delivering training and troubleshooting support for managers and teams.
  • Develop training and support materials in collaboration with Learning, Payroll, and People Advisory teams to share time, attendance, and scheduling best practices.
  • Assist with payroll administration and other projects as directed by the Head of People & Culture.

What you'll need:

  • Minimum 1-2 years' scheduling experience in a medium to large business.
  • Experience interpreting and working with Enterprise Agreements and Awards particularly the General Retail Industry Award and Storage Services Award.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high levels of data entry accuracy.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workforce Management, People and Payroll Systems i.e. UKG Pro and SuccessFactors.
  • High level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
