Lewis Security Services Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced
Security Technician
to join our growing team. This role is central to delivering high-quality electronic security installations, servicing, and system support across Victoria. Success in this position means taking ownership of projects, working with precision, and upholding our reputation for reliable and professional service. As part of a professional and expanding company, you'll play a key role in strengthening our technical capability and supporting our continued growth.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and service electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm platforms (Inner Range, Salto, Gallagher, Hanwha, etc.)
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and site plans to complete installations to specification
  • Conduct fault-finding, maintenance, and upgrades across commercial and industrial sites
  • Ensure compliance with Australian standards, licensing requirements, and safety procedures
  • Provide clear communication and updates to project managers, builders, and clients
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and records of work performed
  • Contribute to a positive team environment, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues
  • Represent Lewis Security Services in a professional manner onsite, reinforcing our strong reputation with clients and partners

Qualifications

  • Current Victorian Individual Security Licence
  • Proven experience in electronic security installation and/or servicing (commercial or industrial environments)
  • Solid knowledge of access control, CCTV VMS, alarm systems, and IP networking
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • White Card (Construction Induction) and Working at Heights/EWP tickets (advantageous)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel to job sites
  • Certificate III in Technical Security or equivalent experience (preferred)
