Role Description
This can be a full-time, part-time or casual on-site role for a Driving Instructor based in Townsville, QLD. The Driving Instructor will be responsible for providing practical driving instruction for car and truck licences, ensuring that learners understand road safety rules, and preparing them for their driving tests.
Daily tasks include conducting driving lessons, assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment. The Instructor will also advocate for road safety and contribute to community outreach initiatives.
Qualifications
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Hold an open Australian or New Zealand open car licence
- Pass a traffic and criminal history check
- Possess or have the ability to obtain TLI Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training Specialisation Group A - Car
- Possess or have the ability to obtain a Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Excellent communication, people, and interpersonal skills, including empathy and emotional intelligence
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles
- Quick decision-making in dynamic environments
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Willingness to learn and adapt
