In this role, you'll design and guide enterprise-wide security architecture, assess emerging technologies, and help teams make risk-based decisions that protect Aussie Broadband and our customers.
You'll work across the business to embed security into everything we do - communicating clearly, thinking big, and always keeping people at the heart of your approach.

Let's talk about you
Have proven experience in security architecture within telco, critical infrastructure, or regulated industries
Understand frameworks like Zero Trust, SABSA, NIST, MITRE, ISO27001, SOCI, and Essential Eight
Bring strong knowledge of cloud and application security, secure coding, and telecom technologies
Have hands-on experience with a broad range of security tools and technologies
Hold certifications like CISSP, SABSA, CCSP, or relevant vendor certs (or are working towards them)
Communicate clearly, think strategically, and adapt with ease
Are constructive, collaborative, and bring a sense of humour to the team
Love learning and stay up to date with the latest in security

Design and maintain enterprise-wide security architecture across systems, networks, and platforms
Discover and assess new security technologies and solutions
Provide expert guidance on securing OSS/BSS, ISP, VoIP, and network deployments
Evaluate and integrate technologies like SIEM, IAM, SASE, IDS/IPS
Embed security policies and standards at the architectural level
Frame security challenges in terms of business and customer risk
Offer clear, actionable advice aligned to our risk management framework
Drive measurable improvements in security posture and maturity
Engage with execs, engineers, and business teams to align security with strategic goals
Represent ABB in industry forums and regulatory engagements
Communicate complex security concepts in plain language
Identify opportunities to uplift security maturity across the organisation
Contribute to the development and refinement of our security roadmap
