The team focuses on quality student outcomes by enrolling students in the right courses, conducting detailed Pre-Training Reviews (PTR), and ensuring appropriate support services are in place.
While we've interviewed some excellent candidates, our ideal appointee will bring exceptional people leadership experience in a similar setting and a strong background implementing systems and digital platforms, including unified communications and CRM systems.
You will be a strategic communicator and mentor, able to develop a high-performing team while confidently managing the three key streams of people, process, and systems. You'll demonstrate deep knowledge of customer experience and system implementation, driving outcomes across a large, complex organisation while working collaboratively with technology teams and faculty staff.
As Head of Student Recruitment, you will:
- Provide effective and strategic leadership to ensure excellent customer service and product advice and to encourage the development of a flexible, responsive and adaptive shared services culture to enhance the student experience.
- Plan and develop proposals for the effective allocation and management of human, physical and financial resources and collect, analyse, and summarise data and trends and provide relevant reports to senior management.
- Provide timely, strategic and high-quality expert advice on a range of policy and procedural matters to the Associate Director to enable fully informed decision making on the delivery of student recruitment strategic objectives.
- The role is responsible for managing and supervising reporting staff across all aspects of their employment. This includes recruiting, selecting, and inducting new team members, as well as preparing annual operational plans to support strong student recruitment outcomes. The position also involves conducting performance reviews, planning relevant professional development activities, and creating a positive working environment that encourages teamwork, trust, and high performance. The goal is to ensure the team delivers professional and effective student recruitment services.
- Develop and manage the Institute administration processes across admissions, enrolment and fees and work closely with the Institute's senior management to ensure the delivery of associated educational and business outcomes.
To be successful, you'll have:
- Degree and post graduate qualifications in business, business administration or similar field relevant to student enrolment, administration and governance systems. Lesser qualifications may be accepted subject to significant experience gained within a similar operating environment.
- Comprehensive understanding of student administration and enrolment processes within the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector, including in-depth knowledge of compliance requirements, government policy, and legislation. Experienced in developing policies, procedures, and systems related to brand, learner acquisition, and student management.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing professional teams within large, complex, multi-site organisations. Proven ability to manage resources, facilities, and operational plans to achieve high-quality, timely outcomes in fast-paced, results-driven environments, including contact centre operations.
- Advanced capability in managing and utilising Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, student management systems, customer experience platforms, telephony systems, and Microsoft Office applications. Skilled in using database software and administrative systems to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills with the ability to identify stakeholders impacted by decisions and take steps to keep interested parties engaged while managing expectations on outcomes.
- WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an 'employee' Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
Our commitment to you:
At Holmesglen Institute, we are committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and flexible workplace where our employees can thrive both personally and professionally.
