Australian Naval Infrastructure (ANI) is the owner and developer of the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth's Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible for designing, constructing and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, as well as the operating and maintaining common use facilities.

There is an opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to join ANI's Project team in the city office. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for leading the acquisition of standard equipment and deliver procurement, sourcing and contract management strategies to effectively administer the standard equipment category for ANI.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and deliver the end-to-end acquisition of capital equipment for ANI.

  • Manage the market engagement and supplier identification process for standard equipment.

  • Undertake the sourcing, negotiating and contract management of equipment procurements.

  • Manage whole of life considerations of the standard equipment category, including ongoing maintenance and the equipment's incorporation in lease or licence agreements.

  • Maintain market knowledge of industry participants, technology advancements and matters impacting procurement and contracting activities, such as Security, Export Control, Incoterms and other market and legislative changes.

About you:

Ideal candidate has a minimum of five years' experience and a professional knowledge of procurement and contract management with practical experience in major projects, defence or major equipment procurement programs.
